The CAD/CAM lab is equipped with 60 dedicated Workstations and a High-end server with CAD, CAM and CAE software like Pro E Wild Fire 5.0, AutoCAD 2000i, Mechanical Desktop 5, Solid CAM 2003, ANSYS 13, CATIA V5R14 and IDEAS 11.

The CNC centre at the Shanmugha Precision Forgings is a world class manufacturing facility having CNC lathes, Machining centres, Coordinate Measuring machine, Contour Measuring Machine, etc.

National Facility for Mechatronics

His Excellency Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the then President of India dedicated the National Facility for Mechatronics to the nation on 24th September 2006. The facilities include a 6 degree of freedom Robot, an Automated Production System, Sensor kits, Workspace software, Pneumatic and Hydraulic simulators, etc. This facility is established in collaboration with AICTE and M/s. Brakes India Ltd. and symbolises the growing synergy between mechanical, electrical and computer science engineering.
